Privacy policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
The short version
- We only collect what you type into the quote form, plus your IP address for spam protection.
- We use it to answer your request and, if we work together, to run the deal. Nothing else.
- No cookies, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. Write to trade@domain.com.
1. Who we are
This website is run by YOUR COMPANY S.R.L., trading as Tradeuss. We are the controller of your personal data, which means we decide how it's used and we're responsible for it.
YOUR COMPANY S.R.L.
Oradea, Romania
VAT RO1111
Email: trade@domain.com · Phone: 0711 111 111
We're a small company, so we don't have a dedicated data protection officer. Questions about your data go to the same email address and are answered by the people who run the business.
2. What we collect and why
You can read this whole site without telling us anything. We only get personal data when you send the quote form or contact us directly.
| What | Why we need it | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Name, company, email, phone | To reply to you and prepare an offer | Steps before a contract, at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Product, quantity, route, your message | To find suppliers, prices and transport for what you asked | Steps before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Whether you want to buy, sell or ship, and the site language you used | To pass your request to the right person and answer in your language | Steps before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| IP address and time of sending | To block spam and abuse of the form | Our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Emails and calls with you | To run the deal if we end up working together | Performing a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) |
Only name, email and product are required. Everything else is optional, but more detail usually means a better price.
Please don't send us sensitive data (health, religion, political views and similar). We don't need it and won't ask for it.
3. What we don't do
- No cookies. This site doesn't set any, so you won't see a cookie banner.
- No analytics or tracking. No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no heatmaps.
- No third-party requests. Fonts and images are served from our own server, so loading a page doesn't tell Google or anyone else that you visited.
- No newsletters unless you clearly ask for one.
- No automated decisions or profiling. A person reads every request.
- No selling or renting of your data, ever.
4. Who sees your data
Inside the company, only the people handling your request. Outside, only the following, and only as far as each one needs:
- Our hosting and email provider, who stores the website and delivers the form emails to us. They act on our instructions and can't use your data for their own purposes.
- Suppliers, buyers, freight forwarders, insurers and customs brokers, when that's needed to prepare your offer or carry out the deal. Usually they only get the product, quantity, route and your company name. We share your personal contact details only when the deal requires it, and we tell you first.
- Public authorities (for example tax or customs), when the law requires it.
5. Data sent outside the EU
Our website and email are hosted in the European Union. Because we trade internationally, some deals involve partners outside the EU, for example in China, Africa or the Middle East. When we have to share personal data with them to carry out your request, we send only what's needed, and we rely on the safeguards GDPR allows: an adequacy decision where one exists, the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, or the transfer being necessary for a contract you asked for (Art. 49(1)(b)). Ask us and we'll tell you exactly what went where.
6. How long we keep it
- Quote requests that don't turn into a deal: deleted at most 2 years after our last contact.
- Customers: for as long as we work together. Contracts, invoices and customs papers are kept as long as Romanian tax and accounting law requires, currently 5 to 10 years.
- Spam protection: the form keeps your IP address in a temporary file on the server only to count submissions in the last 10 minutes. Older entries are ignored and overwritten. The IP also appears at the bottom of the email we receive, and is deleted together with that email.
- Server logs: like every website, our host records basic technical logs (IP address, page, time) for security. They are deleted automatically after the period our host sets, usually a few weeks.
7. How we protect it
The site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The form checks every field before anything is sent, and access to our mailbox is limited to the people who need it and protected by passwords. No system is perfectly safe, but if a breach ever puts your data at risk, we'll tell you and the authority as GDPR requires.
8. Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask us to:
- show you the data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that's wrong or out of date;
- delete your data, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- limit how we use it while a question is being sorted out;
- send it to you or another company in a common format (portability);
- stop using it where we rely on our legitimate interest (objection).
Write to trade@domain.com. It's free, and we'll answer within one month. If we can't be sure the request comes from you, we may ask you to confirm your identity first.
9. If you're not happy
Please talk to us first, as most things are quick to fix. You also have the right to complain to the Romanian data protection authority:
ANSPDCP (Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal)
B-dul G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru nr. 28-30, Sector 1, 010336 Bucharest, Romania
www.dataprotection.ro · anspdcp@dataprotection.ro
If you live in another EU country, you can also contact the authority there.
10. Children
This site is for businesses. It's not aimed at anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects requests you've already sent, we'll let you know by email.
